Turn off Password Expiration in Windows 7 Home

In Windows 7 Home edition, you cannot use the typical approach to turn off password expiry using lusrmgr.msc as you can with Professional or Ultimate.  There is a way, however, that you can accomplish this from command line.  Simply type “cmd” from that Start Orb, right-click on the cmd prompt shown and select “Run as Administrator”, and use the following command:

net accounts /maxpwage:unlimited [enter]

This will prevent users from having to change their passwords every 30 days and will earn you brownie points with the Mrs! 😉
